About AWC.
The journey to founding AWC began with a passion for endurance sports and a vision to empower athletes at all levels. I wanted to create a space where individuals could learn, grow, and race with confidence. My experience in racing, coaching and data analysis informed the development of a unique approach that combines personalised training plans, a supportive community, and a deep understanding of endurance training philosophies.
At AWC, we believe in the power of community, authenticity, and resilience. These core values guide everything we do and shape the experience we provide to our athletes. We foster a welcoming environment where empowerment meets performance.
Anna Wilkinson - Coach
My name is Anna and I have been coaching since 2018. While my passion for endurance sports comes from my competitive background in Triathlon, moving to Cambridge to study at the University of Waikato led me to become heavily involved in both track and road cycling.
I started racing in 2011, beginning with school events through to representing New Zealand at U19 Triathlon World Champs in both 2015 and 2016. I have since been cycling focused competing domestically at an elite level.
My coaching journey started at the Grassroots Trust Velodrome as a community coach. From there I expanded my knowledge of cycling and coaching through my university studies and industry experience. Specialising in endurance disciplines I am currently coaching athletes competing in cycling, triathlon, and running.
I enjoy coaching athletes of all ages and ability, but I am particularly passionate about the development of women's cycling. I have big aspirations to grow women's participation in cycling and empower more kiwi women to pursue sport after their junior years.
